Ebony McQueen
Project Administrator
Ebony McQueen is a dedicated Project Administrator, advocate, and Ph.D. candidate with a passion for equity, justice, and community empowerment. In her current role at the Veterans Legal Clinic, she oversees the preparation and publication of the second edition of the Military Discharge Upgrade Legal Practice Manual. This comprehensive legal resource supports attorneys advocating for veterans with less-than-honorable discharges and aims to restore dignity and access to benefits for those unjustly excluded.
With a focus on cross-functional coordination, Ebony leads all administrative aspects of the project, including timeline management, engagement with authors and contractors, deliverables tracking, budget monitoring, and external communications. Her work ensures that the manual’s development stays on schedule, maintains high editorial standards, and reaches the broader legal and advocacy community through strategic outreach.
Ebony brings to this role a profound commitment to service, informed by her lived experience as both a parent advocate and community leader. She holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Creative Writing and Literature from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Applied Developmental Psychology from Suffolk University. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Developmental Psychology at Suffolk, her research focuses on the intersection of race, disability, and family advocacy in educational settings, with an emphasis on dismantling systemic barriers and advancing equity.
This role reflects Ebony’s enduring dedication to driving meaningful change for marginalized populations—including vulnerable veterans—through inclusive, justice-centered leadership.
