Peter Perkowski

Peter Perkowski is a Staff Attorney at the Veterans Legal Clinic. Along with his colleagues, Peter represents veterans, their families, and veteran-serving organizations before state and federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), using creative legal strategies and advocacy not just to vindicate the rights of individual veterans but to pursue systemic reforms within the institutions and programs that are designed to support the veteran community. Previously a Clinical Instructor in 2021, Peter rejoined the Clinic as a Staff Attorney in 2022.

Peter Perkowski is also the Legal Director at Minority Veterans of America, where he works to advance equity and justice for minority service members and veterans through strategic legal actions, including impact litigation and amicus briefs, and advocacy before Congress, the Department of Defense, and VA for systemic policy change on behalf of vulnerable veteran populations.

Peter received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School, a B.A. (Mathematics) from the University of Rochester, and an M.A. (Kinesiology) from California State University, Long Beach. He runs a solo practice, Perkowski Legal, in Los Angeles.
